Social Share Preview Checker
When someone shares your website in a WhatsApp group or on Facebook, the preview card is your first impression — and a missing image or blank title quietly kills the click. This tool fetches any page’s Open Graph and Twitter card tags and shows you the card people actually see.
The tags that control your share card
Four Open Graph tags do most of the work: og:title (the headline), og:description (the line under it), og:image (the picture — 1200×630 pixels is the safe size) and og:url. X/Twitter reads its own twitter:card tag to decide between a small summary and a large image card, falling back to Open Graph for the rest.
For a local business the highest-value fix is almost always the image: shares with a real, correctly-sized image get dramatically more attention than the grey placeholder card. Use a photo of your premises, team or work — not a logo on white.
Common questions
Why does WhatsApp show an old image after I fixed my tags?
Platforms cache share previews aggressively. Facebook’s Sharing Debugger has a "scrape again" button that refreshes its cache (WhatsApp uses Facebook’s crawler); for others, the cache typically expires within days.
