Schema Markup Checker

Paste any page URL and see exactly what structured data it carries: every schema type found, whether the JSON-LD actually parses, whether search engines can identify the business behind the page, and which valuable properties are missing. Works on your site or a competitor’s.

We fetch the page and read its JSON-LD exactly as a crawler would.

Why structured data matters

Structured data (usually JSON-LD following the schema.org vocabulary) is how a website states facts about itself in a form machines can read without guessing: this is a dental practice, at this address, with these opening hours, offering these services. Google uses it to understand pages and to power rich results; AI systems use it to ground what they say about you.

Broken structured data is worse than it looks: a single JSON syntax error makes the whole block invisible to search engines, while the page appears normal to humans. That is why this checker tests parsing, not just presence.

What to do with the results

If no business entity was found, that is usually the highest-value fix — our schema generator will build correct LocalBusiness markup from your real details in two minutes. If types exist but properties are missing, add them only where the fact is also visible on the page: Google treats schema that contradicts or pads beyond the visible page as spam.

For validation against Google’s own feature requirements, finish with Google’s Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator — this checker tells you what is there and what is broken; those tools confirm feature eligibility.

Common questions

Is schema markup a ranking factor?

Not directly — Google says structured data is not a ranking signal in itself. It affects how well machines understand the page and which rich results you are eligible for, both of which affect the clicks you actually receive.

JSON-LD, Microdata or RDFa?

JSON-LD. It is Google’s recommended format, it keeps the markup separate from your visible HTML, and it is far easier to maintain. This checker reads JSON-LD, which in practice is what modern sites and plugins emit.
