Google Review Link & QR Generator

The single biggest reason customers do not leave reviews is friction. This tool builds the direct link that opens Google’s review box in one tap — plus a QR code you can print for the counter, invoices or van — from your Google Place ID.

From Google’s Place ID finder — instructions below the tool.

From your Business Profile: “Ask for reviews”.

Finding your Place ID

Open Google’s Place ID finder (search "Google Place ID finder" — it is on developers.google.com), type your business name as it appears on Maps, and copy the ID that appears (it looks like ChIJ…). That ID is stable, public and safe to use.

Alternative: in your Google Business Profile dashboard, "Ask for reviews" gives you a short share link directly — paste that here instead and we will build the QR code for it.

Using the link well

Ask at the moment of satisfaction: when the customer says thank you, when the job is signed off, when the result is visible. Send the link the same day by text or WhatsApp — response rates fall by the day. And reply to every review you receive; future customers read your replies as closely as the reviews themselves.

Never offer incentives for reviews or ask only happy customers ("review gating") — both violate Google’s policies and UK consumer-protection rules on fake and misleading reviews.

Common questions

Can customers without a Google account use the link?

They need a Google account to leave a Google review — the link takes them straight to the review box, and Google handles sign-in if needed. For customers without one, a Facebook recommendation is the usual alternative.
