How these figures are defined
The same definitions the GridTracker report uses, so the two never disagree.
- Valid points are queries that returned results and whose identity match is not awaiting review. Failed queries are excluded from every figure and counted as such, never as “not found”.
- Top-3, top-10 and found coverage are the share of valid points where the business ranks 1–3, 1–10, or anywhere within the result depth. Average rank counts an absent point as depth + 1.
- Overall figures pool every valid point of every term; a term with few valid points cannot distort them.
- Change figures use only points measured validly in both scans, on the same grid, spacing, centre and depth; below 80% paired coverage they are suppressed.
- The Maps score is 0.6 × top-3 coverage + 0.4 × top-10 coverage (HighRegard Score module, v0.1). See the method and the calibration note.
